Are you ready to earn side income working less than 10 hours a week? Then you need this list of 10 side hustles to help you crush 2025.
These side hustles are growing in popularity, and there’s a good variety of ideas to choose from.
All 10 side hustles stand out for a few reasons:
- Affordable: Low startup costs mean they’re low-risk
- Flexible time commitment: Most of these can be started and managed with as little as 5 hours a week
- Beginner-friendly: They’re easy to start and understand
- Scalability: They have the potential to grow over time
Let’s get into the side hustles!
Pet Waste Removal
The first side hustle I want to tell you about is pet waste removal. This is the business that helped me get into entrepreneurship!
It’s not the most glamorous business idea, but it’s a business that prints cash like crazy.
For starters, equipment costs are low. Here’s everything you need to start:
- Work gloves (You can even buy these at the dollar store)
- An industrial dustpan
- A bucket
- A small, durable rake
- Sanitation supplies (mix water and bleach)
Your only recurring expenses will be trash bags, gas for your car, and the occasional equipment replacement.
Now, let’s talk about the potential money you can make.
If you can get 10 local clients paying you $80/ month, you’ll make $800/ month. And if you can service 5 client homes per hour, you’ll make $100/ hour! Long story short: you’d work 2 hours per week and make an extra $800/ month.
The biggest thing to remember with this side hustle is that it’s a true business. To set up your business you’ll need:
- Your legal stuff. This includes things like an LLC and local permits.
- An accounting tool
- A scheduling tool
- A way to take payment
- Insurance
- Marketing strategies, assets, and materials
You have the option of buying into a franchise if you need the “training wheel” element to help you get started, but I recommend starting on your own.
Lastly, there are a lot of other great local service businesses, but I picked Pet Waste Removal because it’s easy to start and immediately profitable.
Amazon Influencer
The Amazon Influencer program is a platform for creators to create videos about Amazon products. If someone buys a product after watching your video on Amazon, you’ll get paid!
The 2 main requirements for starting this side hustle are:
- Getting approved for the program. You’ll need a decent-sized social media following on YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook if you want to get approved.
- Video creation skills. You can’t make your videos if you don’t know how!
This is one of the easiest passive income ideas, and lots of creators are loving the Amazon Influencer program as a side hustle.
Here’s a great post from Niche Pursuits about the 3 steps to become an Amazon Influencer.
Substack
Substack is a newsletter platform focused on paid newsletters. You can create a newsletter about any niche or subject you want.
One of the best things about Substack is their built-in tools for growth. The most popular growth tool they have is Substack Notes, which is essentially their built-in social media platform.
Substack makes money by taking 10% of the income you make from your paid subscribers. Everything else is completely free! This makes it one of the greatest platforms for building a newsletter and online business in 2025.

Facebook Bonus Program
You can’t talk about the best side hustles for 2025 without mentioning the Facebook Bonus program.
The Facebook Bonus Program is a creator-fund that pays hard-working creators on Facebook. Post a Facebook reel, photo, or written post and get paid based on the engagement. It’s that simple.
It’s an invitation-only program, but it won’t be hard for you to get in if you’re good at creating engaging content.
Another awesome thing about the Facebook Bonus Program is the fact that you can combine it with other side hustles such as the Amazon Influencer Program. And who doesn’t like combining side hustles?
Here’s a link to learn more about the Facebook Bonus Program.
Flex by Amazon
Flex by Amazon is Amazon’s package delivery service. Sign up, deliver packages, get paid.
This is a fantastic side hustle for anyone who wants a simple side gig with none of the hassle that comes from owning a business of your own or building an audience.
You just sign up, and once you’re accepted you can start getting paid to deliver Amazon packages.
The gig economy is fantastic, and Amazon Flex is one of the best side hustles to come from it.
Mercari reselling
Reselling is a fantastic side hustle because you can get started by selling stuff you already own. And I love reselling on Mercari because it’s such an easy platform to use.
And no, you don’t have to limit yourself to reselling on Mercari. But I want you to know that it’s one of the best reselling platforms for beginners.
You can source products for reselling from:
- Thrift stores
- Garage sales
- Clearance isles
- Facebook Marketplace
- Craigslist
You can also consign with friends. Sell their item for them, then agree to a revenue split. This is a great way to get inventory for free.
The best way to have success in reselling is by targeting one or a few niches. Here are some of my favorite reselling niches you can consider:
- Books: Non-fiction business books
- Video games: Retro games
- Toys: Star Wars Toys/ Collectibles
- Sneakers: Jordans and other popular Nike sneakers
- Clothing: Limited-release clothes
- Trading card games: Pokemon and Magic: The Gathering (MTG).

Neighbors Trailer
Neighbors Trailer is a peer-to-peer trailer rental marketplace. Simply list your trailer and get paid when someone rents it!
I love this side hustle because it’s a rental business-in-a-box. It also gives you a great way to justify buying a trailer, or a great way to make money from a trailer you already own.
There are lots of other rental side hustles, but this one stands out to me in 2025. It stands out to me because:
- Trailers are relatively affordable
- The liability risks aren’t as high as similar rental businesses such as Turo or RVshare.
- You can use your trailer for personal tasks or other side hustles
- Trailers are pretty easy to store
Lastly, a trailer rental business is relatively passive, and every side hustler loves passive income.
Drop Servicing agency
Drop servicing is a simple agency model where you acquire customers who need a specific task completed. You then handle the business side of things and delegate the work to a freelancer. It’s one of the best ways to start an agency and delegate with ease.
Here’s an example:
Step 1: Cold-call local restaurants and offer them menu design services
Step 2: Outsource the menu design work to a freelancer on Fiverr or a similar platform
Step 3: Earn your profit by charging the restaurant more than what you pay the freelancer
I love this side hustle because you can scale it to the moon, learn how to delegate, and practice your sales skills.
You can learn more about this side hustle in this drop servicing tutorial video by Liam James Kay, one of my favorite business YouTubers.
Gumball Vending
Gumball vending machines provide a simple, evergreen, fun side hustle opportunity.
I stumbled upon this idea in a tweet from Ethan Kohan, a successful vending entrepreneur. And sure, we’ve all seen gumball vending machines, but have you ever thought about how lucrative they are as a passive income source?
Here’s a basic overview of why they’re fantastic:
- They’re relatively affordable
- They don’t require electricity
- Gumballs are very affordable to buy in bulk
- Gumballs don’t expire
Before you buy a gumball vending machine you’ll want to find a good location for the machine. I recommend putting it in a store with high foot traffic where kids hang out, such as a store in the mall.
After you place the machine you’ll need to maintain it, but that won’t be too hard. Just check on your machine once a week, and you’ll be fine.
Outschool
Outschool is an online marketplace offering classes for K-12 students.
You can make money on Outschool by teaching! And you can teach anything you want. Seriously, think outside of the box.
Subjects being taught include:
- Personal finance
- Writing
- Video games
- Trivial subjects
- Foreign languages of all kinds
At the end of the day, kids are on Outschool to learn, have fun, and grow personally. If your class idea can help kids in any of these ways, you’re good to start!
Outschool has an application process, but it’s not too rigorous. Just get it over with, and start making your class.
Conclusion
Thanks for reading my list of 10 side hustles to help you crush 2025!
All of the side hustles on this list are specific, and I did that to help you get your “idea gears” spinning. For example, instead of telling you to start a rental business, I told you to start a trailer rental business using the “Neighbors Trailer” platform.
And instead of telling you to start a digital agency, I told you to start a drop servicing agency.
My point is to get you to niche down and start a side hustle based on a market-driven idea. But also realize that you can start any type of business you want in a particular category.
Start your side hustle sooner rather than later. Bootstrap it, be shameless with your marketing, and don’t chase shiny objects.
